Chicago !! GO GO !!

After looking through all candidates city in their website. According to the Chicago Tribune, Chicago’s bid is looking good. Although Tokyo was ranked first but Chicago has the potential to host the 2016 Olympic Games as well.

Chicago is my first choice followed by Tokyo as the last time North America had the Summer Olympics was 1996 Atlanta. Madrid is ruled out based on the fact Europe all-ready had the Olympics twice 2004 Athens and 2012 London. Rio de Janeiro sounds nice and it would be 1st time an Olympics wasn't held in Asia, Australia, Europe or North America, but wow all sorts of problems and concerns. From high crime to poor infrastructure to rampant corruption they just wouldn't be ready for an event of such scale and cost.

It's a long way from the Pan American Games to the Olympics in terms of not only building world class stadiums and venues, but also the transportation, housing and communication that is demanded for a world class event. Rio is not ready yet where as Chicago and Tokyo can not only host such an event, but are free of the political and economic turmoil that affects Brazil.
