As the skies light up over Beijing, China, and the 2008 Olympic Summer Games get under way, we once again have those “moments” where we are filled with our sense of Patriotism, and we swell with National Pride as our athletes, our best, compete on the Global stage!!!

The 2008 Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremony at the Beijing National Stadium was defined as “the most spectacular Olympics Opening ceremony ever produced”. It began at 8:00 pm China Standard Time on 08-08-2008 featuring 15,000 performers in rich fusion choreography of ancient and contemporary Chinese art and technology. the athlete did the parade in order of the number of strokes in their Simplified Chinese character transcriptions. The night then was very bright as the fantastic fireworks of pyrotechnic adorned the Beijing’s sky.
